Yahoo! Partnering With Live Nation, Will Stream a Concert a Day
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.29.2014

If you've ever wanted to see a concert but don't have the time or money, you're in luck. Yahoo! has announced that they are teaming up with Live Nation in order to stream a concert per day at Yahoo! Screen. The service will kick off this summer and the concerts will be accompanied by interviews and behind-the-scenes footage and Live Nation will sell sponsorships to big name brands, with Kellogg's already signed on.

No bands have yet been announced, but Live Nation promises "no shortage" of shows for Yahoo! to pick from.

Yahoo! CMO Kathy Savitt said in the announcement that the channel will "[bring] together the world's largest digital publisher and the leading live entertainment company to redefine the digital live music experience for users around the world."

Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino said, "Sixty million people attended our 23,000 Live Nation concerts last year alone. The Live Nation Channel on Yahoo will build on this scale and become a great, new destination for music fans."
