Metallica To Headline Glastonbury 2014
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 05.08.2014

Metallica are set as the final headlining act for Glastonbury 2014. NME reports that the band are joining Arcade Fire and Kasabian as the headliners for the festival, which will take place in June. Also announced for the festival are Skrillex, Jake Bugg, Massive Attack, MIA, Bryan Ferry, Disclosure, Kaiser Chiefs, MGMT and London Grammar.

Lars Ulrich commented on the band's joining the lineup, saying, "To be honest with you, we didn't sit around and have a big conversation when the call came. In Metallica we have a saying called a 'no-brainer'. Headlining Glastonbury is a no-brainer. We didn't need to sit around thinking about the pros and cons."

He added, Trust your friendly neighbourhood Metallica, we'll put something suitable together...It's great that, 32 years into our career, we're still able to knock down doors - doors we didn't think were open to us."
