Dr. Dre's Claim for $3 Million in Bankruptcy Case for Death Row Records Denied
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 05.10.2014

TMZ reports that a judge shut down a motion for Dr. Dre trying to claim $3 million in royalties from the bankrupt Death Row Records. Dre reportedly filed a claim in Death Row Records' bankruptcy case and said that he was owed millions in royalty fees.

Death Row Records was sold while the company was in bankruptcy. Dre believes he is owed money from records Death Row Records sold during the bankruptcy, and he thinks he should get his money before the other creditors. A judge later denied Dre's motions, so he likely won't see any money.

Either way, the amount is only a fraction of the payout he's getting from the sale of Beats to Apple.
