UPDATED: Solange Knowles Disavows Reported Tweet That Jay Z Hit Beyonce
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 05.13.2014

UPDATE: TMZ reports that despite their recent tiff that was caught on video, Jay Z and Solange Knowles went jewelry shopping together on Tuesday (May 13) afternoon at a high-end jewelry store in New York City.

Sources connected with the story claim that Jay Z and Knowles were in Mr. Flawless, where they were looking for women's jewelry for around 20 minutes. The two reportedly showed no signs of strife and looked at jewelry with Mr. Flawless. They looked but tried nothing on and they left the store without buying anything.

The report says Jay Z and Solange didn't talk much inside the story and that they just browsed quietly.

ORIGINAL: As has been reported, video of Solange Knowles attacking Jay Z in an elevator in New York City last week has spread its way across the internet. Many people are wondering what prompted the whole incident and no one's talking. Now, Solange is at least saying what didn't cause it and is speaking out against a rumored Tweet that she posted.

The Tweet--which has only been seen in the form of an image thus far--appears to be from Solange's account and accuses Jay of hitting Beyonce. It reads:

he tried the right one. I keep telling yall that n***a ain't bout that life. u hit my sis i hit u hoe. talk about what you know! y'all don't know s**t

Solange's rep told TMZ the image was faked, saying, "I can confirm that Solange did not tweet that; that is not a real tweet." She has some backup in terms of Twitter's functionality too; the above message is 153 characters which is thirteen past Twitter's limit.

So much for that.
