Lily Allen Says She Turned Down Game of Thrones Role

Because she didn't want to be groped by her brother...
Lily Allen clearly doesn't have any quest to sit on the Iron Throne; not only did she turn down a supporting role on Game of Thrones, she did it because she wasn't down with being groped by a sibling. And as we all know, that's a good path to power on the series. Allen did an AMA on Reddit to support her new album Sheezus and revealed that she was asked to play Yara Greyjoy, the sister of Theon. Theon is played by Alfie Allen, Lily's brother, and Allen said that the way that Yara is introduced made her uncomfortable.
For those not familiar with that introduction, Yara appears in the second season posing as a commoner when Theon goes home after years with the Stark family. Theon doesn't recognize Yara and tries to seduce her, which is rebuffed (we're not talking about the Lannisters, after all). You can see the clip below.
When asked about the show, she said, "I've been asked to do a Game of Thrones cameo, they asked me if I'd be interested in playing Theon's sister. I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and shit. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks."
She did say that she would be up to doing a song for the show, noting, "I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though."
The role of Yara ended up going to Gemma Whelan who has been doing fantastic work, so it all worked out.
