Billboard Music Awards Gets Most Watched Telecast In Thirteen Years

Zap2It reports that ABC had its strongest Sunday since November 24, 2013, outside of the night of the Academy Awards, thanks to the Billboard Music Awards. The network had 9.5 million viewers and a 3.0/9 in the adults 18-49 demographic.
The Billboard Music Awards, meanwhile, was the #1 TV show in viewers and young adults. The broadcast won all three hours and topped the Teens 12-17, Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49, Adults 25-54 and Kids 2-11 demographics. It was up by 1 million viewers from last year (10.5 million this year) and had its most-watched edition in thirteen years (since 2001). It also had an eleven-year high in the adults 18-49 demographic (since 2003).
