Everybody's after money...
In an interview with CBC Radio, Quincy Jones said the new Michael Jackson album, Xscape, was only made for the money. Here are highlights:
On the rumor he didn't like "Billie Jean": "And this whole fallacy of me not liking 'Billie Jean' is a lie. It is some lie that started somewhere. Anybody can hear that record's a smash. And also I know where it came from."
On what he did as Jackson's producer: "What am I gonna learn from Michael? I don't wanna be singing and dancing. I didn't ask him about anything. We told him what songs he was gonna sing. A producer has to do that."
On the new album: "They're trying to make money. And I understand it. Everybody's after money, the estate, the lawyers. It's about money. Yeah, but it's not my business anymore. They're not our business."
