But not without drama...
UPDATE: TMZ reports that Kim's sister Rob Kardashian left Florence, Italy before the wedding because of an issue with his family. He booked a flight from the Italian city to Los Angeles late last night and was in tears while trying to acquire a seat.
At this time, it's unknown why he missed the wedding or what the issues with his family were.
Original: People reports that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have officially been wed at the Fort di Belvedere in Florence, Italy. North Miami pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr performed the ceremony. Kardashian family friend and celebrity event planner Sharon Sacks planned the event. She previously handled Kardashian's baby shower and her wedding to Kris Humphries. Andrea Bocelli sang "Con te Partiro" while Kim was walked down the aisle by Bruce Jenner. Kim and Kanye were married in front of a wall of flowers.
West was said to be nervous before the wedding, constantly drinking from a bottle of water and moving from one foot to another.
A source said: "It was funny how nervous he was. He clearly knew the gravity of what he was about to do. This morning he was all smiles, but as it got closer, you could see that the nerves were kicking in. It's common for most grooms. I've seen it all before."
The audience applauded twice during the ceremony: during the kiss and then when the two were presented as bride and groom. Kris Jenner was seen wiping her eyes with a tissue in the front row. The vows were "intimate" and "spoken softly" as both West and Kardashian kept smiling.
Escort cards (by LA company Lehr and Black) led guests to their seats for dinner with an engraved marble table. The cards were off-white with gold (the color scheme of the wedding) and had a version of the table on them, the focal point of the wedding.
The two were originally rumored to be getting married in Versailles after several trips to the city. Instead they had their rehearsal dinner on Friday in the city before flying almost 200 guests privately to Florence this morning. The two, along with the guests, were seen arriving before they went their hotels. Kardashian and her family went to the Villa San Michele while the other guests stayed at the Westin Excelsior. The city was selected because their baby, North West, was conceived there.
The Fort di Belvedere is a 16th century building that originally protected Florence and its Renaissance palace from attackers. It was reopened to the public in 2013 after five years of renovation.
West and Kardashian began dating in 2012 and were engaged in October 2013 with West's proposal at San Francisco's AT&T Park. This is his first marriage and her third.
