That's why he's re-releasing the albums...
In an interview with NME, Jimmy Page said that he wanted to release Led Zeppelin's first three albums (I, II and III) to remind people of how good they were, as well as introduce a new generation to the songs.
He said: "I hope young musicians find it a source of inspiration. That's how I learned, and that's what's so seductive about this nerdish thing. Led Zeppelin have real serious musical mastery and this is passing it on. It's a cool thing to do. You had superstars in other bands at that time. But you didn't have four who were real masters of their craft, who could play as a band like that. Not at this time. We were an amazing live band from the start and I don't mean that in an arrogant way. We were on top of the game. Anybody's game."
The albums will be re-released on CD, vinyl and digitally on June 3. All songs were remastered by Page and are joined by previously unreleased songs. All nine of the band's albums will eventually be re-released in the same format.
