Phil Collins Performs At Son's Middle School Concert
Posted by Joseph Lee on 05.30.2014

The Miami Herald reports that Phil Collins came out of retirement for one night to perform with his son's band at the Miami Country Day School last week. He performed at the school's spring music concert. He told the crowd he was nervous before he performed "In The Air Tonight" and "Land of Confusion".

His ex-wife, Orianne Collins Mejjati lives in Miami-Dade and said he performed because his son asked him to. Collins has two sons who are students at the Miami Shores school, which teaches grades pre-K-12. Collins would not be interviewed. In an emailed statement, he said he had a great time working with the students and said they were "talented" and "enthusiastic". This was his first public performance in years.
