Dr. Dre Gets Introduced As New Apple Employee
Posted by Joseph Lee on 06.03.2014

As we reported last week, Apple bought Beats Electronics for $3 billion, while Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine joined the executive team in unnamed roles. Apple said that after regulatory approvals, the deal will close in the fourth quarter of their fiscal year (by September 28).

Now Rolling Stone has provided a video in which Dr. Dre is introduced at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference by senior vice president of software engineering Craig Federighi.

He said: "Hey doctor!. You're on speakerphone via my Mac with over 6,000 amazing developers here at WWDC. We all want to welcome you to Apple."

Dre replied: "By the way, I'm glad you called. I hear [Apple CEO] Tim [Cook] gets in pretty early. What time should I show up for work?"
