UPDATEDx2: Video Of Justin Bieber's Racist Joke Was Released Because His Legal Team Wouldn't Pay
Posted by Joseph Lee on 06.04.2014

UPDATE 2: Now Justin Bieber has chimed on with his own responses to the controversy over the videos on his Instagram account. Bieber posted an image of a Biblical passage. You can check out the image he posted below.

UPDATE: Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, posted an image on Instagram, commenting on the recent controversy of the videos that surfaced online of Bieber telling racist jokes. You can out the image below.

ORIGINAL: TMZ reports that Justin Bieber was the victim of blackmail from a man who had the video of Bieber telling a racist joke when he was fifteen.

Around two months ago, Bieber's legal team was contacted by a lawyer representing the man who worked on one of Bieber's video projects. The man was in possession of Bieber's personal hard drive, saw the video and stole it. The lawyer told Bieber's representatives that the client would sell the video to the media if Bieber didn't pay him a million dollars. The offer was turned down and the lawyer reduced the price to $800,000. When that was refused, the offer dropped to $500,000.

The lawyer was told he "wasn't even in the ballpack" and rejected again. The video was released a week later. Bieber's team wouldn't pay for the video because they didn't think it was going to harm Bieber at all, especially since he was fifteen at the time.
