Sean Kingston Allegedly Had Friends Shake Down Promoter Over Appearance Fee
Posted by Joseph Lee on 06.05.2014

TMZ reports that Sean Kingston reportedly set up attack of a Hollywood club promoter after a disagreement over his appearance fee. He was hired to host and perform at the Avalon in Hollywood last night with Carmen Electra and the Jazmin Sisters. He was supposed to get paid $11,000 and received half of that amount in advance.

However, the promoter was upset that Kingston didn't promote the show enough on social media and showed up three hours late. When he arrived, he had his own security and four or five friends with him. That's when he began to harass the producer over the remaining portion of his fee. The promoter refused and Kingston ordered the people with him to pin the promoter against a wall. They allegedly stole his watch, iPhone and a few thousand dollars in cash.

Police were called but no arrests were made. The promoter told them that Kingston set up the attack over money. Kingston is not named as a suspect and his bodyguards, who are listed as witnesses, denied getting involved. The watch and phone were found later at the club but the money is gone.
