A respiratory infection...
Billboard reports that Morrissey has canceled the rest of his US tour due to getting a respiratory infection in Miami. The illness has caused him to postpone several shows on his tour, but now it is worse. All of the shows, including those that were rescheduled, are canceled entirely.
A statement read: "In the interest of making a full recovery, all further touring plans have been halted. Morrissey thanks his fans for their compassion, understanding, and well-wishes during this difficult period as he recuperates."
The tour began on May 7 in San Jose, California. He was rushed onstage by fans and the show was ended early as a result. It was supposed to last until a performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on June 21. After the May 31 concert in Miami, he canceled a shot in Atlanta and postponed shows in Atlantic City, Baltimore and Washington D.C. (which, again, are now canceled).
He has been supporting his new album World Peace Is None of Your Business, which arrives on July 15 through Harvest Records.
