Early Forecasts Predict Big Sales For Lana Del Rey, Linkin Park
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 06.13.2014

It's never too early to begin predicting how well albums will sell, and industry sources often predict sales in advance of their release with a solid amount of accuracy. If those sources are right then we'll have a big sales week starting on Monday as Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence, Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour and Linkin Park's The Hunting Party are all pegged for sales marks over 100,000 per Billboard.

According to the site, if projections hold than Del Rey's album will sell around 175,000 copies, Smith's will sell upward of 150,000 and Linkin Park will hit between 100,000 to 125,000. This will be the first week since the last of December that three albums sold over 100,000 copies and the first non-holiday week since October 6th of last year.

Also set for debut next week are deadmau5's while(1<2) with around 40,000 copies projected to sell, Jennifer Lopez's A.K.A. (30,000) and Tiesto's A Town Called Paradise (15,000). Projections are based on several factors including pre-orders, physical copies ordered by retailers and tracking numbers.
