According to the Official Charts Company (via THR), the late Michael Jackson's singles have sold over four million copies in the UK since his death five years ago in 2009.
According to the firm,"His British fans have downloaded nearly four million copies of his singles since that fateful week in 2009. His legacy lives on through his music." Also more than 3.8 million copies of his albums have been purchased in the UK in the last five years. This includes the sales of two posthumous albums released by his estate: Michael in 2010; and Xscape, which was released last month.
The most downloaded track in the UK is "Man in the Mirror." The single has been downloaded 413,000 times in Britain since Jackson died. "Thriller" came in second with 244,000 digital downloads. "Billie Jean" was third with 224,000 downloads.
