The Rolling Stones Pay Tribute to Bobby Womack

The Rolling Stones have paid their respects to soul legend Bobby Womack following his passing on Thursday. As previously reported, Womack passed away at the age of seventy and the Stones, who covered his song "It's All Over Now" in 1964 to great success, honored the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer with a message on their website.

The message reads:

"Bobby Womack was a huge influence on us.

He was a true pioneer of soul and R&B, whose voice and songwriting touched millions. On stage, his presence was formidable. His talents put him up there with the greats. We will remember him, first and foremost, as a friend."

The band also posted a video of their tribute to Womack at the TW Classic festival in Werchter, Belgium late last week. Check it out below:
