Beck Opens for Himself at Concert in Detroit

Billboard reports that Beck and his band ended up opening for themselves after their scheduled opening act, The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, dropped out of their concert at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan.
No explanation was reportedly given on why the band dropped out. Howeve,r theater personnel told patrons that there were border crossing issues after the show's previous night in Toronto. Beck and his band ultimately decided to "open for ourselves," and the show was reconfigured into two parts.
The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger is set to be back with Beck's band when the tour goes to the Hammerstein Ballroom on June 30. Beck's North American tour continues through August 23.
