The Prodigy's Next Album Will Be 'Violent-Sounding'
Posted by Joseph Lee on 07.02.2014

In an interview with NME, The Prodigy's Liam Howlett said that their next album will be "violent-sounding". It will be the follow-up to 2009's Invaders Must Die and will be out later this year.

He said: "It's more violent-sounding; it feels wilder. It's not so much old-school. It's neither guitar-based not synth-based; it's kind of a mixture. It doesn't feel so radio-friendly to me; it feels like its got a lot of edge."

While the band said in 2012 that the album would be called How to Steal a Jet Fighter, Howlett revealed that it will "definitely not" be called that now.

He added: "I've got a new title but you can't have it. It's too early! I've written everything and I'm basically going through each track and making sure they're firing."

The Prodigy will headline Sonisphere this weekend (July 4-6) with Metallica and Iron Maiden. They will also headline Global Gathering later this year. Howlett said: "We've got loads of new stuff, but at these big shows people don't want to hear fucking new stuff."
