Pete Doherty Jokes About Creating 'The Lib-bunnies' At Hyde Park Show

He's not nervous...
In an interview with NME, Pete Doherty joked about getting some good-looking women to perform as the "Lib-bunnies" at their Hyde Park show today.
He said: "They're being so tight with the guestlist! So what I'm thinking of doing to help all the good looking birds I know get in – the ones I can't justify putting on the guestlist, mainly because my girlfriend is looking after it - is maybe getting them to dress up in red jackets and fishnets to form some sort of Libertines tribute act. The Lib-bunnies, we'll call them! Then if that happens maybe we can have them cavorting around onstage a bit during the drum break in 'The Good Old Days'. I'm trying to get it together but we haven't got long!"
When asked if he's nervous about the show, he replied: "Not really - which isn't like me. I'm normally all over the place."
Carl Barat added: "The pressure is on. I was a little bit in disbelief [at how many tickets the band have shifted]. I mean, it's sold out pretty much. It makes me happy but it also means the pressure is on."
The concert at the 60,000 capacity venue is part of the Barclaycard British Summer time series. The Libertines played their first show together in four years last weekend at the Glasgow Barrowland with a 25 song set. Here are the band's upcoming tour dates:
London Hyde Park British Summertime (July 5)
Lisbon Optimus Alive festival (12)
Benicàssim Festival (19)
Paris Zenith (September 30)
Amsterdam Heineken Music Hall (October 2)
Brussels FN Club (3)
Berlin Columbiahalle (4)
Dusseldorf Mitsubishi Electric Halle (5)
