DUI Case Against Lil Twist Rejected By District Attorney

He wasn't high enough...
TMZ reports that a district attorney has rejected a DUI case against Lil Twist due to the fact he wasn't intoxicated enough. Last year, Twist was stopped for driving 69 MPH in a 30 MPH zone and running a red light. Police saw a lit joint in the car and smelled marijuana. They saw that Twist's eyes were bloodshot and rolling and his speech was "deliberate and lethargic." Twist admitted he smoked the drug. He also failed the field sobriety test when he could touch his nose, walk a straight line or stand on one leg without swaying.
However, the case was rejected for several reasons. First of all, police waited an hour and 46 minutes before taking a blood sample. The amount of marijuana in his blood wasn't enough to show that he was impaired. His field sobriety results were only "moderately bad" and the senior criminologist couldn't argue in a court room that Twist was too impaired to drive.
Instead, Twist received three tickets for speeding, not stopping at a red light and possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
