Brooklyn artist Danielle Mastrion started painting a mural in New York City that will pay tribute to the classic Beastie Boys album, Paul's Boutique. It's the 25th anniversary of the album's release. The mural is being painted outside of the Wolfnights sandwich shop on Rivington and Ludlow. The street corner was featured on the cover of the Paul's Boutique album.
Beastie Boys fan LeRoy McCarthy tried to get the intersection named "Beastie Boys Square" last December but was not successful.
Here are a few pics from Instagram of the mural in progress and the finished product.
