Former Nirvana Drummer Chad Channing Open To A Reunion
Posted by Joseph Lee on 07.30.2014

In an interview with NME, early Nirvana drummer Chad Channing said he'd be open to a reunion with the surviving members of the band. He says he could see himself playing with Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic in the future. He was part of Nirvana's debut album Bleach and added parts to the song "Polly" from Nevermind before he was replaced by Grohl in 1990.

He said: "Yeah, if they wanted me to. It'd maybe be something like Dave playing guitar and singing and Krist doing bass. That'd be about the only arrangement I could think of that we could pull off."

Channing wasn't inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Nirvana earlier this year, even though he thought he would be. When asked about not being included, he replied: "I'm fine about it actually. I've always sort of felt that for me, everything's so much more about the music than the accolades."

He is now in the band Before Cars, which has released Old Chair EP in 2006 and Walk Back in 2009. They played their first UK shows in London last month.
