Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 08.25.2014

Beyonce was the woman of the night at the MTV Video Music Awards. The queen of R&B took home three moonmen at the award ceremony to lead all winners with ease. In fact, Beyonce was the only person to take home more than one award; she won for Best Cinematography and Best Video with a Social Message for "Pretty Hurts" and Best Collaboration with her husband Jay Z for "Drunk in Love." The diva was also presented with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award after a performance that included a medley of all songs off her self-titled LP.

The other big winners were Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry. Cyrus won Video of the Year for "Wrecking Ball," Sheeran took home Best Male Video for "Sing" and Perry won Best Female Video with "Dark Horse."
