No more Twitter for Cee Lo...
Billboard reports that Cee Lo Green has deleted his Twitter account after several controversial tweets about his court case. He pleaded no contest to giving ecstasy to a woman. He was accused of putting the drug in the drink of his date at a sushi restaurant in July 202. He was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to finish 360 hours of community service. An earlier rape charge was dropped due to insufficient evidence.
At the time, he wrote: "People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!! If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent."
He then deleted those tweets and instead wrote: "Let me 1st praise god for exoneration fairness & freedom! Secondly I sincerely apologize for my comments being taken so far out of context. I only intended on a healthy exchange to help heal those who love me from the pain I had already caused from this. Please forgive me as it was your support that got me thru this to begin with. I'd never condone the harm of any women. Thank you."
Now his Twitter account has been removed entirely.
