Radiohead Begins Recording New Album

Thom Yorke reportedly feels fitter, happier, and more productive than he did during the "O.K. Computer" sessions
Funny how I always seem to mention Radiohead, isn't it?
Anyway, the band arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday to begin recording their
as-yet-untitled follow-up to Amnesiac. Nigel Goodrich, who's produced
every Radiohead album since The Bends, has once again been recruited
to man the boards for this new album.
As you may recall, Radiohead has promised a more 'mainstream' album this
around, which many will welcome after the very experemential Kid A
and Amnesiac. No word yet on whether they'll live up to this promise
or not (since Amnesiac was originally slated to be a return to form,
too), but guitarist Johnny Greenwood has said that there's some "pretty
intense stuff in here."
The recording sessions are slated to finish up on September 15, giving the
band only two weeks of studio time to complete recording the album. No word
yet on the tracklist, although it is supposedly being culled from the songs
premeired on a recent tour of Spain and Portugal that garnered the most
favorable reaction from the crowd.
