Alice In Chains To Release New Live DVD?
Posted by Michael Melchor on 11.06.2006

The new incarnation of Alice In Chains - drummer Sean Kinney, guitarist Jerry Cantrell, bassist Mike Inez, and Comes With The Fall frontman William DuVall handling vocals in place of the late Lane Staley - filmed its concert on Halloween night in Providence, RI for a possible DVD release.

The Halloween performance was two hours and forty minutes long, with the group playing additional songs for the filming. There's no indication yet of when the DVD could surface or what other features it might contain.

The group is currently on a North American tour that features the reunited band playing a two-hour show that includes an acoustic middle section as well as an eight-minute video tribute to Staley, who died in 2002 after a long struggle with drug addiction that effectively put Alice In Chains on ice in 1996.

No word yet on whether the new Alice In Chains plan to write together or record a new album.
