Looking to capitalize on Mariah's Platinum Effort
On the heels of Mariah Carey's million-unit-moving Charmbracelet album, Monarc/Island is wasting no time in trying to capitalize on the album's success.
On July 29th, Charmbracelet will be re-released through Monarc/Island and will include two new tracks, a remix, a different cover, and the song currently Number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 I Know What You Want, a duet with Busta Rhymes.
Charmbracelet has moved 1 million units since its release on 12.3.2002 despite the fact both singles off the album, Through the Rain or Boy, I Need You, failed to get past #81 on the Hot 100.
Island did not comment on the album.
Expect them to be baffled when 90% of the country downloads the four new tracks rather than buy the album again.
