Details On New - And Final - Ministry Album

Time to ride off into the sunset...
On September 18th, 2007, Ministry will release The Last Sucker, the final album of not only the George W-hating trilogy (along with Houses Of The Mole and Rio Grande Blood), but of the band's career.
The band's founder and linchpin, Al Jourgensen, will put the band to rest after 27 years, 11 studio albums, and four Grammy nominations. "I've got a lot of side-projects and new projects I want to focus on," explains Jourgensen of his decision. "We have our our own label, 13th Planet Records, we're building, and I want to sign, produce and collaborate with other artists. Being in the studio writing, recording and collaborating is my favorite part of this snake-oil industry. I'd rather be behind the console than behind the mic. Plus, I kinda like the synchronicity of Dubya and Ministry riding off into the sunset hand in hand."
The Last Sucker was produced and recorded by Jourgensen himself at his 13th Planet compound in El Paso, TX, with musicians Thomas Victor (Prong) on guitars, Paul Raven (Killing Joke/Prong) on bass and guitarist Sin Quirin (The Revolting Cocks). In addition, Burton C. Bell (Fear Factory) makes a vocal appearance on three songs ("Die In A Crash," and "End of Days" parts One and Two). A 2008 farewell tour is planned for the album and the band.
