Kanye, Winehouse Lead Grammy Nominees Field

Kanye West leads the field of nominees for the 2008 Grammy Awards. The rap star landed eight nominations. He is followed by Amy Winehouse who landed six nominations. The Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and T-Pain all landed five nominations.

Record of the Year nominees were Beyonce's "Irreplaceable," Rihanna's "Umbrella" featuring Jay-Z, Winehouse's "Rehab," Foo Fighters' "The Pretender," and "What Goes Around ... Comes Around" by Justin Timberlake.

Album of the Year nominees were West's Graduation, Vince Gill's These Days, Winehouse's Back to Black, Foo Fighters' Echo, Silence, Patience & Grace, and Herbie Hancock's River: The Joni Letters.

I didn't know Daughtry was rock. But hell, Clear Channel thinks that anything with guitars in it is rock, so I guess that's what the Grammies think, too. Hey, where's Hinder? They have guitars too, you know! Oh, wait, they're not as popular as Nickelback, though they have similar sounds and songs. Sorry, Hinder, but I guess that's what you get for being the emo version of Nickelback.
