Complete Nominees For 2004 American Music Awards

Usher leads the pack with four nominations....
Usher tops the list of contenders for the 32nd annual American Music Awards with four nominations. Outkast and Kanye West each recieved three nominations. The awards will be presented Nov. 14 at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium, and aired live on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel will host.
Nineteen AMAs will be handed out in eight genre-based categories -- pop/rock, country, soul/R&B, rap/hip-hop, adult contemporary, latin, contemporary inspirational and alternative music. A national survey of 20,000 music listeners will determine the winners.
Usher was nominated for favorite male artist and favorite album (Confessions) in both the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories.
Outkast is nominated for favorite band, duo or group in the pop/rock and rap/hip-hop categories, as well as favorite album in the latter (Speakerboxxx/The Love Below).
West is nominated for favorite rap/hip-hop male artist and album (The College Dropout), as well as the cross-category favorite new artist award.
