Cuomo lets out some information on upcoming Weezer album...
Weezer frontman and guitarist Rivers Cuomo recently conducted an interview with Billboard.com about the new Weezer album.
Cuomo stated that the album is "almost done" and is set for an April or May release. Cuomo goes on to describe the new songs as "dark and deep and beautiful," and "definitely more sophisticated and adventurous. You'll hear very long songs ... and non-traditional structures."
The big surprise is the added imput from the other members of the band, with some members even singing lead vocals on a few tracks. Cuomo says that one track even has drummer Pat Wilson playing lead guitar and vocals with Cuomo on the drum kit.
The 6th studio album is being produced by Rick Rubin, who produced Weezer's last album Make Believe, released in 2005.
