Ashlee Simpson Is Hitting The Road

Ashlee Simpson will hit the road on her first headlining theater tour next year, which is set to kick off Feb. 2 in Houston and stretch through a March 30 show in Norfolk, Va.
Fans can expect a glimpse at Simpson's live act on MTV's "The Ashlee Simpson Show," which will follow her throughout preparations for the outing. The series' second season kicks off Jan. 5 and is also expected to show how the budding pop star handled the negative publicity that followed the inadvertent exposure of her recent infamous lip-synched appearance on "Saturday Night Live."
Simpson is slated to perform Thursday (Dec. 9) in Lowell, Mass., as part of the WXXX (KISS 108) Jingle Ball and Friday in New York during the WHTZ (Z100) Jingle Ball.
Simpson will also appear as a presenter during tomorrow night's Billboard Music Awards, which will air live on Fox from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. She is among the finalists for female new artist of the year. She'll also take part in CBS' "Home for the Holidays" special, set to air Dec. 22.
Simpson's debut album, Autobiography debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 in August and has sold XX copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
