Scott Weiland Enters Rehab
Posted by Mitch Michaels on 02.08.2008

According to a post on Velvet Revolver's website:

"Following Velvet Revolver's performance last night in Los Angeles, lead singer Scott Weiland voluntarily entered a rehab facility.

Tonight's San Diego show at the House of Blues has been postponed; the rescheduled date for San Diego is [to be announced]. Velvet Revolver deeply apologize to their fans and thank them for sticking by the group."

Weiland was arrested on November 21, 2007 when he crashed his car while driving on an L.A. highway. He was charged with driving under the influence with a prior conviction, and with an allegation that he refused a breathalizer test as required by law.

Don't be an idiot. Substance abuse is a very difficult thing to handle. I am now clean for three years, but I couldn't imagine trying to stay clean living that type of life style. I love Weiland and his music, but the only way for him to save himself is to get out of the business, which won't happen. It's very sad.

I hope he gets better and continues a long and successful career.

It's like everyone going to rehab. Weren't they put through 10 years of DARE or other drug prevention programs?

In Weiland's case, he seems much better than in the 90's, where he was in and out of rehab all the time. I'm sad to hear he's back in.

The only reason these celebrities are going into rehab is because its the thing to do right now and an easy way to be even more of an attention whore
