The UK hands out more awards last night, with winners like Arctic Monkeys, The Killers and Muse, and losers like Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears and George Bush...
The Arctic Monkeys were the big winners of the Shockwaves NME Awards, with a record seven nominations and three wins for Best Track, Best Video and the big one, Best British Band.
The other big reader-voted award of the night for Best Album went to Klaxons for Myths Of The Near Future. Newcomer Kate Nash accepted the award for Best Solo Artist, beating off tough competition from Amy Winehouse and others. Muse were back on top as winners of the Best Live Band this year.
