An R&B album release date moved up for a change...
Originally scheduled for a June release, Usher's new album has been pushed forward due to what his label claims is "increasing global demand." Here I Stand will now arrive May 27th via LaFace/Zomba.
The set's first single, the Polow Da Don-produced "Love In This Club" featuring Young Jeezy, is currently #2 on the Hot 100 and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. An accompanying video, directed by Brothers Strause, will premiere April 7th on MTV.
Here I Stand follows Confessions, which has sold 9.5 million copies. It's the 20th biggest selling album SoundScan era, which began in 1991. It's also the second biggest seller by a solo male singer (Garth Brooks' Ropin' the Wind is #1.)
