Neil Patrick Harris Doesn't Want Britney Spears Back On "How I Met Your Mother"

NPH not for cheap stunt casting...
Even though Britney Spear's much hyped cameo appearance on the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" gave the show its best ratings ever, putting it into the Nielsen Top 20 that week, one of the show's stars says he could do without another appearance from the former pop star.
Neil Patrick Harris doesn't want Spears back on "How I Met Your Mother" – nothing personal, he just doesn't think they need cameos on the show for cheap ratings' boosts. "I'm in the minority that our show does not need stunt casting in order to succeed," says Harris.
There were rumors that Spears might make another appearance on the show after her first one. Nothing's been set as of now.
misleading headline.
harris never said anything about britney.
he just gave an umbrella statement about stunt casting.
your headline implies he specifically said something about britney.

I'm of the school of thought that maybe thi show got the biggest rating in its history because it was the first show back since the Writer's strike and not because of Britney Spears.
Seriously, nobody cares about her anymore besides the media.

Ty, I'd like to agree with you. Sadly, I think you're wrong. We'll have to see how the enxt show rates, but I have a feeling there will be some drop-off, a clear sign that somebody out there still gives a damn about that walking disaster.

Even if the ratings do fall a bit, it would be impossible to know if it was Britney's influence or not. I suppose a second appearance would give that answer.
Anyway, she does make quite the circus freak but it's pretty sad that America is watching this chick self destruct and nobody is trying to stop her.
