The latest on Weezer's next album...
Weezer's website has added some new info on the band's upcoming new album including the likely US release date of June 17th. It also appears as if the album will be self-titled and colored red, thus likely going by The Red Album.
The first single will likely be "Pork and Beans." Other tracks include "Everybody Get Dangerous", "Automatic", "Ms. Sweeney", "I'm the Greatest Man That Ever Lived", and "Daydreamer".

As much as I've been let down by the past couple Weezer albums, I'm still looking forward to seeing what they can do.

Somebody tell Larry Sweeney that Weezer is making a move on his girl!

Weezer hasn't made a good album since Pinkerton.

Just the Yellow Album left to go, I guess.

Weezer has made 3 good albums since Pinkerton. While I would love to hear that sound that they captured for Pinkerton again, Rivers just isn't there anymore! The Green Album was teetering on pop-rock perfection, and Maladroit allowed the boys to show off a bit of their harder chops.
Make Believe, although with a weak opener, is also solid. To say that Weezer hasn't made a good album since Pinkerton is not being objective, and simply not true. Just because Rivers doesn't cater to every fanboy's "woe is me" attitude anymore, doesn't mean there isn't something there to appreciate.
I'm really looking forward to this one, being that the others have some legitimate contributions for this record. Can't wait!
