Def Leppard Featured On New Version Of Guitar Hero
Posted by Dan Haggerty on 05.09.2008

hard rock band Def Leppard has become the latest act to try to use a video game to sell their music. The Sheffield band's new single "Nine Lives", along with two other tracks, will feature in the new version of the game Guitar Hero in a bid to sell their music to a different market.

Times have changed since the band's record-selling heydays of the '80s and they don't want to be left behind. "There's no MTV as a video channel any more," says frontman Joe Elliott. "So to get the same effect, you're looking at doing daytime TV."

remember back in the day when MTV would play music videos 90% of the day, then have episodes of Beavis and Butthead? Those were the days

Erm wow is this info old. Its a DLC on Guitar Hero 3 though, rather than songs on a new Guitar Hero. Plus its been out for a good week or so already.

MTV was the stuff back in the day.
Of course I am old enough that I remember when it started.
But with money to be made and the gay agenda to push, MTV is now what it is - and it sucks.

I remember the good old days of MTv with music videos, 120 Minutes, Headbangers Ball, occasional episodes of Remote Control (which was awesome BTW...), Yo MTv Raps!...

But now it's all reality shows and maybe, if you're lucky, you can find a music video on at 3am, on a sunday morning, if they aren't showing one of their crappy shows...

MTV doesn't have anything to do with Guitar Hero, they are involved with Rock Band. And chances are its DLC, which has been around for awhile now with a lot of older bands having tracks on there.

Motley Crue just released their first single as DLC. This is not new news Dan.
