MTV to Release Top 10 Hottest MC's in Hip Hop for 2008

As if MTV really has credibility in regard to the subject...
Last year MTV made a lot of noise in the industry by releasing a controversial top ten list of the Hottest MCs in Hip Hop, as crowned by collective of producers and artists known as the ‘brain trust.'
Rapper Lil Wayne was named number one last year much to the chagrin of other rappers who felt Weezy's ranking was not justified for various reasons. On their web site, MTV promises to address the controversy of last year's list when they unveil the 2008 edition on May 16th.
