One-Off Ozzfest Announced

It has been officially announced that Ozzfest will be a one day event at the Pizza Hut Park in Dallas, TX on August 9th.

The bands have also been announced and a wide variety of genres are represented, from doom metal (The Sword) to heavy metal (Metallica). This will also be Ozzy's only tour date of the summer. Tickets go on sale May 31st at ozzfest.com, with prices yet to be determined.

It probably came down to a choice between a tour or this, and after last year's freebie, they probably figured people would balk at the notion of paying for it when it came to their town again. I don't know if any of that is true, but either way I have a feeling ozzfest as we used to know it is dead and buried.

on the ozzfest website they said its going to be one date this year because he just finished touring for a year according to Sharon

june 21,in montreal,we got the heavy mtl festival,with maiden,hatebreed,mastodon,type o,3 inches of blood,symphony-x,and much more..100 times better than any ozzfest editions..

Can't believe how they ruined a summer tradition. Always looked forward to this tour. I'm glad this summer has Rockstar Mayhem Tour, Iron Maiden hitting the road & Judas Priest w/ Motorhead & Heaven and Hell. F*** Ozzfest!
