New Lil' Wayne Album Could Top Million Copies Sold In First Week

Lil' Wayne may score the best selling album of the year!
Lil' Wayne's Tha Carter III could very well end up being the best selling album of the year. Early estimates have the album selling 850,000-950,000 albums in its FIRST week of release, with an outside chance of topping a million. The album was released on Tuesday and is performing better than expected.
And believe it or not, Pat Monaco, exec VP of sales for the Universal Motown Republic Group, says all the album leaks may have helped sales.
"The accounts were bullish by 10 in the morning. The sales the first few hours were exceeding the rate that the Kanye album sold a year ago. Wayne was one of these records that, because it was so highly anticipated, with the leaks and everything, it caused more people to go out at 8 in the morning to buy the CD."
Young Jeezy will sell 2 million in the first week!
