Flashback: The Classic Rock Experience Coming To A Town Near You
Posted by Mitch Michaels on 06.30.2008

Flashback: The Classic Rock Experience has pondered the same question we've all wondered from time to time:

Imagine if Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd or Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin had performed on stage together with the upscale modern production of today backed by a 30-piece orchestra.

However, instead of just wondering, the Flashback creators are trying to find out by assembling musicians and singers from around the world (including Three Dog Night's Chuck Negron) to sing with the Mystic Orchestra. The show also features a slick laser and light show. It's a major stage production.

The nearly three-hour show reworks some of rock's greatest songs: the Doors' "Light My Fire" and "Riders on the Storm." Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart" and "Mercedes Benz." Jimi Hendrix masterpieces like "Purple Haze" and "Foxy Lady", Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water," Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild," "Layla" by Derek and the Dominoes, Rod Stewart's "Maggie May," as well as Three Dog Night's "One" and "Joy to the World," sung by Chuck Negron.

The second half of the show offers something never before attempted in the rock ‘n' roll universe: Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd playing together. All their greatest songs are featured, including Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love," "Kashmir" and "Stairway to Heaven," as well as Pink Floyd's "Money," "Another Brick in the Wall Part 2," "Wish You Were Here," "Comfortably Numb" and "Shine On You Crazy Diamond."

Flashback will be on tour this year. You can check out dates below.
