Mötley Crüe is the highest charting debut this week, scoring #4 with Saints Of Los Angeles. It's the first Mötley Crüe album since 2000's New Tattoo, which didn't reach the Top 40. 1997's Generation Swine also reached #4. The lead single, "Saints Of Los Angeles", is a Top 10 Rock hit.
Three 6 Mafia's Last 2 Walk debuts at #5 this week. The album release has been pushed back four times since the Spring of 2007. The current single "Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body)" is a Top 30 hit.
Shinedown's The Sound Of Madness debuts at #8 and its their best charting album to date. It follows 2005's Us And Them, which debuted at #23. The lead single, "Devour", is a #4 hit at Modern Rock radio and was the theme for WWE's Night Of Champions PPV.
I hope Motley Crue goes gold, then all those def leppard marks on amazon, will stop writing about how the crappy new def leppard album would be a hit if it came out 15 yrs. ago.
