Marilyn Manson Gets New Guitarist
Posted by Rebecca Stone on 08.15.2008
Enter Wes Borland.
Reportedly, Wes Borland, of Black Light Burns and formerly of Limp Bizkit, has joined Marilyn Manson as their guitarist. Marilyn Manson had the following to say:
"We have a new guitar player that's gonna play for the first time tomorrow; it's the first time we'll play on stage. His name is Wes Borland and he used to be in a really terrible band that he left because he felt that it was a destructive force in art, and he has his own band, Black Light Burns, but now he is in Marilyn Manson. We don't know how permanent that is, but starting tomorrow will be the first step. So this will be the most indestructible Marilyn Manson."
Borland himself had the following to offer on the matter:
"I am joining MM for the time being, but as I said before, Black Light Burns is still going strong and I have no problem operating in 2 bands. MM is playing a show here in Korea, where I am now, in about 8 hours and then I'm on the way back home to start doing some guitars with Nick on the next BLB record."
Wow, this is just wow, If he couldn't put up with dursts antics I don't think he will put up with shit from manson hah this is going to be interesting.

how the hell listens to Marilyn Manson anymore ?
He was a fade for goth messes to hang themselves to and give excuse to their emo lifestyle ! Marilyn Manson doesn't amount to shit in mainstream or underground music nowadays !

fu,
Why would someone who is goth need excuses to be emo??? Would'nt they just be emo? While I am not a huge fan, I know a ton of people who dig manson who are neither goth or emo.In fact most of them are hot ass chicks.
But uh, yeah, the point is that you sound like an ignorant cunt who should probably proofread their posts at least once. I could barely understand your idiocy, remember...reading is FUNdamental!

With Twiggy back in the band, and now with Borland, this really is the most indestructable Manson!

me, i do. he's was, is, and i'm pretty sure always will be a musical genius. i dont care who he has backing him up, he's an icon imo.

Manson a musical genius? He's a sad little man who used blasphemy to sell records, then when that didn't sell, he wore fake breasts. When that didn't sell, he went back to blasphemy. When that didn't sell, he just kinda fell off the face of the earth.
He is quite simply the best example of a pathetic sellout in rock music. Thats why emos and goths like him so much - he's as fake as they are

I think he's a cool enough guy..
Don't compare his band to Fall Out Boy, Brand New and Midtown crap please..
Give him some credit..

This is so far off the mark it amazes me. Manson is, first and foremost, an artist. Yes, he has albums talking about Satanism, but thats because he thinks people view religion in the wrong way. Id be inclined to believe him there.
Fake breasts on the Mechanical Animals cover wasnt done for shock value. It was done because the album is entirely about sex and sexuality. Maybe you should read more into things before you go shooting off at the mouth.
"Manson is a satanist, cross dresser. He took out two of his ribs so he can perform fellatio on himself! People like him are ruining society! Think of the children!"
Id rather have a hundred thousand Marilyn Mansons walking around than one close minded person like you.

owww.. i thought he said in an interview that he isn't joining back LB bcoz he was too busy with his BLB..and now look at him, joning MM? lol..
and BLB still strong? yah i agree, but he overused the name of limp bizkit enphasizing everyday how he felt and why he left..owwss? well, that's his decision..anyways, you're still the one that brought LB to the top..
well, that's my opinion..all you LB hater? haha..f*ck you people..

I never said that - you did. That is so old, its pathetic.
"Id rather have a hundred thousand Marilyn Mansons walking around than one close minded person like you."
Then go to the mall. I see thousands of them running around in black outfits, with black lipstick, and black nailpolish - with no jobs, no interest in contributing to a better society. Instead they whine and snivel about how terrible their middle to upper class homes are on their social lives.
You won't find me anywhere near them because i work fulltime supporting a family, go to college to get an education, and run a men's group to help others, like you, to get their priorities straightened out

I know you never said that. That wasnt the point. The point was you making ridiculous accusations about Manson with no merit behind them. Also, not only is that "so old, its pathetic," its also not true.
"Then go to the mall. I see thousands of them running around in black outfits, with black lipstick, and black nailpolish - with no jobs, no interest in contributing to a better society. Instead they whine and snivel about how terrible their middle to upper class homes are on their social lives."
You obviously no little to nothing about both Manson and about the Goth community. Nice way to ruin what little credibility you MIGHT have had by classifying Goths as all upper class with no jobs. Goths also arent "depressed" all the time as you seem to believe.
"You won't find me anywhere near them because i work fulltime supporting a family, go to college to get an education, and run a men's group to help others, like you, to get their priorities straightened out"
The funny thing about this statement is, Id see you as the one who needs help, not me. I dont openly criticize others for their beliefs and condemn people with ideals different than mine. That holier than thou attitude you have towards anything thats different is exactly whats wrong with society today.
"I go to college and work and have kids and all goths have no jobs and they cry all the time"
Sounds like youre the one wants some type of sympathy or a pat on the back for working full time, going to school, and supporting a kid. Its great you can juggle all those things, but at the same time, maybe the time you spend ripping on other peoples ideas would best be used RESEARCHING those ideas so you could get a better understanding of them first.

Actually, I was an rabid manson fan when antichrist noodlehead came out.
In fact, I had to go see his first concert in Edmonton because he was banned in Calgary. And in fact, when i was young, I was part of the antisocial crowd - except thirty years ago, we wore red lumberjackets and black t-shirts instead of our little sister's pants and black makeup.
The attitude has not changed one iota: a bunch of spoiled kids who don't know how good they really have it.
So, in fact, I know exactly what the community was, and is, about.
when the 13 yr old goth and her 21 yr old boyfriend killed her parents and her 7yr old brother in lethbridge a year or so ago, the goth community was all up in arms - not because they were horrified over what happened, they were upset that they were being looked at with suspicion. There was no remorse for the murders, only self-absorbed rants.

To say you know about the "antisocial crowd" as you call it because you were a part of it (which I dont doubt at all) 30 years ago is just ridiculous. You cant know about the community unless you're a part of it. While I dont doubt you still have roots in the antisocial one, there is a big difference between antisocial and Goth. Hence the reason for using the word "community"
"when the 13 yr old goth and her 21 yr old boyfriend killed her parents and her 7yr old brother in lethbridge a year or so ago, the goth community was all up in arms - not because they were horrified over what happened, they were upset that they were being looked at with suspicion. I dont really see how this is relevant at all, but whatever, Ill bite.
The "Goth community freaking out" over those acts isnt too uncommon, nor is it unwarranted. Society looks down on subculture as it is anyway, throw something like that in the gears, its bound to get people up in arms about looking bad. There isnt anything immoral about that, its self preservation. If society was more accepting, then it wouldnt have been a problem and Im sure some people would have wept out in the streets like everyone else.
The bottom line being, if Fundamentalist Christians killed those people, said they did it in the name of their religion, people would be up in arms about that too, and other FCs would be more worried about their reputations as followers of Gods word than those few people who died.

I think Alice Cooper is more popular than Manson now. Flash in the pan!

He was in Eat The Day?
i'm probably the only person that found that funny...

Hey J-money (if that's your real name) - you're right.
What started off as a simple comment on Manson turned into a unwarranted attack on Goths. For that I am sorry..
Manson's still a sell-out, though.
