Hotel owners list the worst celebs to have staying the night...
Michael Jackson has been named one of The World's Worst Hotel Guests, a list compiled by website concierge.com due to his irresponsible behavior in dangling his nine-month-old son Prince Michael II over the balcony of a hotel in Berlin, Germany, in 2002.
The website also criticizes Jackson for forcing the World Music Awards to book nearly the whole of London's Hempel Hotel before his performance in 2006. He also asked staff to erect an 18 foot wall on the first floor to protect his privacy. In 2007, Jackson reportedly requested bowls of Haribo gummy sweets, a large mirror, and a giant xylophone for his stay at another London hotel.
The list also included:
*Amy Winehouse (trashed London hotel room with alcohol, underwear and hair dye in the bathtub, "funny smells" reported outside a St. Lucia hotel room, loud crashes reported in another room where she and her husband emerged bloody and bruised, tossed food against the wall and cut up the carpet of a Munich hotel)
* Britney Spears (regularly trashes hotel rooms, ridiculous paparazzi, demanded a Glasgow hotel cancel all other reservations while she and her entourage stayed there)
* Axl Rose (regularly trashed hotel rooms during GN'R heyday, in 2006 was arrested in Stockholm after drunkenly breaking a hotel mirror at Berns Hotel, getting into an argument with a woman in its lobby, and then biting the leg of a hotel security guard who tried to break up the brawl)
* Mariah Carey (asks that suites be outfitted with gold faucets and that all toilet seats be replaced with brand-new ones before her arrival, requires mineral water (for both her bath and her dog's), two DVD players in her suite, made London's Baglioni Hotel literally roll out a red carpet and line it with white candles before she would exit her limo and enter the premises, had a $20,000 fitness facility installed adjacent to her penthouse at Claridge's)
* Keith Moon ("the godfather of trashed hotel rooms", drove a car into a pool at a Holiday Inn in Flint, Michigan, dropped a five-tier birthday cake all over the carpet of his room during a party where guests sprayed the decor with fire extinguishers, threw a TV off a balcony on the top floor of the Southern Cross Hotel and into the pool below (it was his calling card!), went to a hardware store, bought a hatchet, and proceeded to turn each piece of furniture in his Saskatoon, Canada, hotel room into timber, set off a dynamite explosion in the bathroom to teach the manager, who had asked him to turn down the racket on his cassette player, the difference between "noise" and the Who.)
