Details On Final Episode Of MTV TRL
Posted by Mitch Michaels on 11.04.2008

MTV will air "Total Finale Live" - a tribute to, and look back on - TRL on Sunday, November 16th from 8-10PM ET/PT. You can check out two classic TRL moments below.

Beyoncé, 50 Cent, Backstreet Boys and Fall Out Boy are all set to perform on the last show.

"Total Request Live" produced over 2200 episodes during its 10 year run and, at one time, was the premier place for music's top mainstream artists. "TRL's" original host Carson Daly and current host Damien Fahey are set to helm the finale. The celebration will feature top-billed performances, guest appearances from music and movie stars, and a look back at the best moments on the show.

Guest appearances are scheduled for regulars like Diddy and Mariah Carey, as well as Taylor Swift, Hilary Duff, Ludacris, Nelly, Snoop Dogg, Benji and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, and Korn's Jonathan Davis.

Online, trl.mtv.com will be counting down to Total Finale Live with video highlights from the past ten years, photo galleries of past guests and VJs plus a decade's worth of photo booth pics of all the celebs who've visited the TRL studios. On November 16, the site will feature behind-the-scenes coverage of the event, plus red carpet photos from the finale pre-show.

TRL would probably still be around strong if it actually played more than 1/4th of each video

So no reason to watch the last episode, right?

Even though TRL music often was crappy at least it was some form of music, not like today when the network is all reality shows about whiny little kids complaining that their wallets are too heavy.

TRL was amazing when it first debuted because it actually played music. Sadly this is truly the final nail in the coffin for music on MTV as after this they literally have NOTHING left besides for the VMA's

after this show they should just go through a total transformation of the channel and chnge it to something else, since they dont really have anything to do with music anymore
