Bad Religion To Release New Album in 2010
Posted by Daniel Wilcox on 12.03.2008
Long wait for fans...
According to a report from The BR Page, Bad Religion is not likely to release a new album in 2009 as many expected, but in 2010. According to bassist Jay Bentley:
"Graffin teaches January, February and March. Japan [in] early April, Warped Tour in June, July and August and Australia at the end of September. So there is only November and December left for recording. There isn't much material as of now, but we could probably guess with 99% that we will be working on new material for 2010."
2010 would be a symbolic year for the band who formed thirty years prior in 1980.

Eh, I've kind of given up on them. New America and No Substance were both abysmal. Process of Belief was much improved, but still forgettable.

Process of Belief... Forgettable? Are you on crack? Yes New America and No Substance were both awful, AWFUL records, and The Empire Strikes First was forgettable, but if you can listen to Supersonic, Can't Stop It and Kyoto Now (among others) without being brought back to the days of Stranger than Fiction, Gray Race and earlier, there's something seriously wrong with you.

Honestly, I really really liked Process. But when I go into Bad Religion mode I just don't really care to listen to it. I want Gray Race, Generator, No Control.
I don't know what it is, but for some reason I just don't care about it even though I liked it very much when it came out.

I swear the CD will be called "Ten" just for the poetic appeal.

What's with the hate for "The New America?" There's some great stuff on that album. I have pretty high hopes for the new album, as "New Maps of Hell" was fantastic & a return to their late 80s & early 90s heyday. It was no "Recipe for Hate" or "Against the Grain" but it's damn good. Plus, you get to learn new words with every Bad Religion album.

Bad Religion is Bad Religion, like all bands they've had their ups and downs but unarguably have stood the test of time for sure. Who knows, with the success of their last two albums(which were both amazing)their best could still be on its way...... although with their nineties run of an album a year, the 2010 release speculations are a bit dissapointing. but whatever the real fans will wait for it and most likely love it
