Romney planning to fight fire with fire...
UPDATED: Romney's Super PAC is now lining up a $2.3 million ad buy in South Carolina, presumably to return fire at the Gingrich campaign and their proposed $5 million in ads that will be aimed at Romney. It's gonna get ugly in South Carolina.
ORIGINAL: Billionaire Las Vegas casino mogul Sheldon Adelson has antied up $5 million to a Newt Gingrich Super PAC that plans to go nuclear with a week of non-stop negative ads aimed at Mitt Romney in the week lead up to South Carolina. The ads will focus on painting Romney as a predatory capitalist who destroyed jobs as the CEO of Bain Capital. The Obama campaign has to be loving this.
If you want an example of what $5 million worth of negative ads can do in a relatively small state, just look back at Iowa. Gingrich was winning there until a Romney Super PAC spent millions on negative ads aimed at Gingrich. Gingrich ended up coming in fourth.
The $5 million ad campaign in South Carolina will have a huge impact on who wins that state. Keep an eye on it.

That's fine as long as they keep it truthful and don't resort to personal attacks on superficial issues. There is little chance of these ads taking away the moderate vote from Kitten, but they will energize the already irritated conservatives to unify in support of the candidate who represents the total opposite of Romney progressivism. Ironically, Gingrich is NOT that guy.

CBS poll has Romney 2 points ahead of Ashishs messiah and 6 points ahead among independent voters.
Bet Ashish will aviod that poll.
