Public Policy has new poll numbers from Virginia out tonight. The overall numbers are good for Obama -- he leads 51% to 45% over Romney. We've now had three polls of Virginia in the last few days (Rasmussen, NBC/Marist, and Public Policy) and the average Obama lead across the three is 4%.
The internals of the Public Policy poll give us our first real glimpse at the reaction to Romney's bizarre Libya attacks last week. The poll specifically asked if voters approve or disapprove of Romney's actions. 41% said they approved, 48% said they disapproved.
This will be an interesting thing to watch this week. If the public reaction to Romney's handling of the Libya situation last week was as bad as it seemed to be, it will do real longterm damage to whether he passes the "Commander in Chief plausibility test" that every Presidential candidate has to pass if they want to win.
